Ukrainian pres extends list of sanctioned Russian officials, cos
KIEV, Oct 17 (PRIME) -- Ukrainian President Pyotr Poroshenko has enacted a decision by the country’s security council to prolong the term and extend the list of Russian officials and legal entities subject to sanctions, according to a decree published on his official Web site on Monday.
Ukraine’s Economy Minister Stepan Kubiv said earlier that Kiev had decided to prolong the sanctions for 388 people and 105 organizations and had added 250 individuals and 46 legal entities to the list.
The National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine said in a statement that Kiev wants to introduce additional sanctions for deputies for Crimea in the State Duma, the Russian parliament’s lower house. A decision on sanctions for the deputies will be announced soon, according to the statement.
The Ukrainian sanctions envisaged by the blacklist of Russians range from an entry ban to a property arrest.
